   Dear Gretta,
   
   Thanks for writting to me. I did have a nice Christmas. My dad called me up the next day giving me hell for not spending more money on Christmas. I used my whole pay check to buy gifts and he yelled at me that I did not spend enough money for Christmas. I told him that I am a single mom and this is the best I can do. Every yr he starts drama during the Holiday season.
   
   I hope your Holidays were good with family and friends.

   The holidays are a busy time for me. I celebrate Chanukah; my family does Christmas. Granted my family isn't religious...but you can imagine it makes for a busy time. I am very pleased that my family tries their best to honor the fact that I'm a Jew now and goes out of their way to make sure that I feel comfortable. My Sweetheart and I also have birthdays around this time, too. So, I was a wee bit burned out by the time the secular New Year rolled around.
   
   I'm sorry to hear about what your dad did to you in regard to Christmas. In all honesty, this really isn't what the holiday is about either way you want to look at it--from the original German pagan traditions or from the Christian traditions.
